Since it was about lunchtime anyway, I told the people to go eat and I went back into the prayer room to pray about the situation. As I did, these words came up in my heart: By His stripes ye were healed. I opened my Bible, read that verse, and whispered, “Amen!” I declared it to be truth and said, “Father, as far as I’m concerned, I am healed so I am going back out there and preach.”
At that moment, there wasn’t yet any perceivable change in my body. When I stepped back up to the podium in the afternoon meeting I could hardly make a sound. But I held the microphone right next to my mouth so the people could hear me, and began to say the words God had given me to say.
“If I were to ask my voice if I’m healed, it would say no,” I whispered. “If I were to ask you if I’m healed, you’d say no. But I’m not asking you. I’m not asking my body.” As I was speaking, my voice began to get louder.
“I have asked The WORD of God!” I continued, and as I spoke my voice continued to get louder.
“And it says I am healed!” I shouted.
By the time I finished that last sentence, my voice was so strong I was able to preach another three hours. After I closed the service, I drove to the next meeting and preached for another two hours. I’m glad I did, too, because at the close of that last two-hour service, a totally blind woman was healed.
Why did it happen that way? Because my body was listening and so was hers, and when I said what God said, the Father within, He did the works!
The same can happen to you.
Every day your life is listening. So give God the opportunity to work. Tune in to His voice, open your mouth and let the fevers and the fig trees and the storms hear what He is saying.
Say what God said and stay young, stay strong and be BLESSED. It’s a wonderful way to live! V

words about healing
There was no sickness in THE BLESSING God breathed into Adam when He created him.... And there is no sickness in the salvation God offers all men through Jesus: “By [His] stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24, New King James Version).
