All Things Are Possible
by Gloria Copeland
Did you know that the kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world both operate according to the same basic law? Given how different they are, you might think it strange, but it’s true!
Even though one is a kingdom of light, ruled by our loving, all-powerful heavenly Father, and the other is a kingdom of darkness ruled by the hateful, thieving devil, both produce their results the same way. They bear their fruit in your life, for better or for worse, according to the law of sowing and reaping.
“For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life” (Galatians 6:7-8, "New King James Version").
That means even if you’re born again, if you spend your time and focus your attention on the things of the world, you’ll get the same results in life that people in the world do. You’ll go to heaven when you die, but you won’t experience much heaven in the meantime. You’ll keep thinking like the world thinks and doing things the world’s way. And because that’s what opens the door to the world’s corruption, you’ll find yourself subject to the cursed conditions that got into this earth through mankind’s sin.
That’s no way for a believer to live! You’re a citizen of heaven and an heir of THE BLESSING. You don’t want to have to put up with the curse and all its devilish destructions. You don’t want to live in subjection to things like sickness and poverty, and problems that in the world are impossible to solve.
No! You want to rise above those things by sowing to the spirit. You want to keep God first place in your life and spend time learning His ways of thinking. You want to focus your attention on Him and His Word and operate according to the principles of His kingdom so that you can experience an abundant, God kind of life.
