It includes “all spiritual BLESSINGS in heavenly places” (Ephesians 1:3) and it’s what Jesus came to give us. It’s what He was talking about during His ministry on earth when He preached, “The kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). When Jesus said that, He was saying the kingdom of God is present now! You don’t have to do things the old way anymore. You don’t have to keep sowing into the world. You can change from that old way and come into the ways of God! You can say no to sin and be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You can say no to sickness and be healed (Isaiah 53:5). You can say no to poverty and have your needs supplied abundantly according to God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). You can even say no to impossible problems! When they show up in your life you can overcome them by faith in God and His Word because, unlike the world that doesn’t know how to handle impossibilities, “with God all things are possible,” and “all things are possible to him who believes” (Matthew 19:26; Mark 9:23, "NKJV"). "Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides" (Matthew 6:31-33, "Amplified Bible, Classic Edition"). Press In to the Promises “But Gloria,” you might say, “I’ve been operating in God’s kingdom the best I know how, and all things still haven’t been added to me.” Then keep on sowing to the spirit! Keep putting God’s Word in your heart and mouth. Keep seeking Him first, saying and doing what He says, and feeding on His promises, because the Bible says if we do that “in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9). How exactly do you faint not? You follow the scriptural example of Abraham. Remember what happened to him? He received a promise from God about something that in the natural was impossible. God told him when he was 99 years old that he and his 90-year-old barren wife were going to have a child. Despite all the visible evidence to the contrary, Abraham put his faith in that promise and refused to give up on it. He began saying about himself what God said and calling himself “father of many nations.” “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). He stayed with God’s sowing program and, although it took a while, in due season, he and Sarah reaped their harvest and Isaac was born! That’s always been how God’s kingdom works. It works by promise. It manifests in our lives when we find promises in the Bible about all the things God has already given us, receive them by faith, and walk in line with what God says about them until they come to pass. Anyone can do that. It’s really very simple. But it does require some time and effort. It requires us to press in to God and His Word—to undo old thought patterns, old habits, and old worldly ways that we’ve been taught—and believe and say what God says. That’s why Jesus told us we must repent to receive the good news of God’s kingdom. The word repent means “to change, turn around, and go the other way,” and that’s what we must do to experience our Kingdom benefits. We must change the way we think and the way we operate. We must reject the lies of the devil and this fallen world system and replace them with the truth of God. John 8:32 ("NKJV") says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 17:17 says God’s “word is truth.” So, the more of God’s Word we know, and the more we align our lives with it, the freer we’ll be! The less we’ll be subject to the limitations of this natural realm, and the more heaven will be able to break through and change things for us here on earth. 28 : BVOV
