We have been given the kingdom of God and we have a standing in that kingdom that is equal to Jesus’ own standing. God loves us as much as He loved Jesus during His earthly ministry. The Bible says that in God there is no variableness or shadow of turning (James 1:17). He does not vary. He is the same today as He was 2,000 years ago. He loves you and me right now with the same love, the same dedication, the same devotion that is beyond all human understanding. He loves us with that abounding, abundant, powerful love with which He loves Jesus right now. In Ephesians 2, we can read a magnificent description of God’s love toward His Church. Verses 6 and 7 tell that He has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places with Jesus for one reason: “That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Verse 10 says “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.” We need to allow our place in Christ Jesus to take its place in us.
God’s Will
It is God’s will for us to own the Kingdom. Remember what Jesus said: “It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
It is God’s will for us to live above this present, evil world. Colossians 1:12-13 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (or able) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
It is God’s will for us to walk in newness of life and in the likeness of Christ. Paul wrote the church at Galatia, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). We are predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son.
