‘Healed People Go to Work’ The next day, April was due to return to work. As she considered whether or not she should go back to work, her father had another word of encouragement for her. “Healed people go to work in the morning,” he told April. “You can’t lay around and still say you’re healed. Healed people get up…and go to work. You’re a soldier, and you’ve got to endure hardship. But you’re healed, so go.” Encouraged by her father’s words, April decided to return to work. However, lingering symptoms made getting out of the car and walking difficult. “That was a major battle, because I began to experience self-pity. But the Lord told me, 'You’ve got to put a stop to that right now because that’s the enemy! That’s not consistent with what you’re believing for.'” At that, April told herself: “Healed people don’t feel sorry for themselves. I’m healed, so there’s nothing for me to feel sorry for myself about.” During her healing process, the Lord spoke something else to April. “He told me that every step I take, I’m enforcing the victory Jesus won for me. And with every step I take, I’m enforcing the defeat the devil has already experienced,” she said. “It’s already done. I’m already healed.” “I began to speak to my brain, and I would command my brain to line up with what God said about me,” she said. “I would speak over my equilibrium and my balance and I would say, ‘My balance and my equilibrium are fully restored in the Name of Jesus.’” Those words became a daily confession for April, who gradually saw her body begin to mend. As she continued confessing God’s Word for her healing, the day came when all the symptoms vanished. ******************************************* Prayer is our priority. +1-817-852-6000 24 hours/7 days ********************************************* “One day I woke up and got up and didn’t have any dizziness. I was clearheaded and I just began to walk like normal,” says April. “I thought, This is gone, I AM healed. And I began to walk and it was just a normal thing. People would notice and say, ‘You haven’t been to the doctor?’ And I’d say, ‘No, I haven’t been to the doctor. I’m standing on the Word.’” Today, April says all her symptoms are gone and “I’m completely healed and whole in the Name of Jesus. “The Word is always true, and I know from the Word that Jesus is the Healer,” she says. “I have experienced for myself that Jesus is the Healer, and nothing is too hard for Him. That diagnosis did not scare me. Multiple sclerosis is just a name. And it had to bow its knee to the Name of Jesus. “The Lord told me that as quickly as this thing had come, that’s how quickly it had to go. And that’s exactly what happened. When I’m tempted to think the symptoms are still there, I say, ‘No, in Jesus’ Name. I’m healed. That is over.’ And I’m walking in my healing every day.” Today things have returned to normal for April, who continues to raise and support the talents of young daughter, Najeé, and work a full-time job. She is grateful for that day in 2007 when she first learned about KCM, and began listening to Kenneth Copeland’s teachings. “I’m a Partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, because of the work the ministry is doing all over the world—teaching people who they are in Christ and reaching out to the lost,” April says. “That means I’m never alone. I wasn’t then, and I’m not now.” V ****************************** ****ADVERTISEMENT******** Partner with us today! 1-800-600-7395 (U.S. only) +1-817-852-6000 **************************************** The Power of a Grateful Heart ******continued from pg. 3******* He’ll use the only tactic he possesses. He’ll try to steal that word out of you by stirring up your flesh. Mark 4:16-17 tells us, “These are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.” The enemy will try to get you to become offended. But that will only work if you have no root—if you’re not grounded in the love of God. However if you are loving The LORD your God with all your heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37) and expressing your gratefulness for all He has done, you are becoming rooted and grounded in love. That’s what Paul wrote to the Ephesians. He said: "I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God" (Ephesians 3:16-19, "New Living Translation"). Become so filled with His love that offense can’t come near you. Praise Him for His marvelous love. Praise Him, and as you do the enemy will be stopped cold because praise “stills the avenger” (Psalm 8:2). Fill your mouth and the atmosphere with gratitude—thank God for all He is, for all He has done and is doing in your life. You and the world around you will change! V BVOV : 7
