Did you know that the kingdom of
God and the kingdom of this world both
operate according to the same basic law?
Given how di erent they are, you might
think it strange, but it's true!
Even though one is a kingdom of
light, ruled by our loving, all-powerful
heavenly Father, and the other is a
kingdom of darkness ruled by the
hateful, thieving devil, both produce
their results the same way. They bear
their fruit in your life, for better or for
worse, according to the law of sowing
and reaping.
For whatever a man sows, that he will
also reap. For he who sows to his esh
will of the esh reap corruption, but he
who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit
reap everlasting life (Galatians 6:7-8).
That means even if you're born-again,
if you spend your time and focus your
attention on the things of the world, you'll
get the same results in life that people in
the world do. You'll go to heaven when
you die, but you won't experience much
heaven in the meantime. You'll keep
thinking like the world thinks and doing
things the world's way. And because
that's what opens the door to the world's
corruption, you'll nd yourself subject to
the cursed conditions that got into this
earth through mankind's sin.
That's no way for a believer to live!
You're a citizen of heaven and an heir
of the blessing. You don't want to have
to put up with the curse and all its
