6 : B V O V where the life is. In Genesis 1:26, we see that even Adam was created with words. He was spoken into existence when God [or Elohim in Hebrew, which refers to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit] said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." The LORD wasn't just thinking out loud there. He wasn't just saying to Himself, "Here's an idea: Why don't we make a man?" He was releasing His power. Just as He brought forth light by saying, "Let there be light," He was bringing forth Adam by saying "Let us make man…." "But Brother Copeland," someone might say, "I thought God made Adam out of the dirt." No, only his body was formed from the dust of the ground. Adam himself was created when God "breathed into his nostrils the breath, or spirit, of life, and man became a living being " (Genesis 2:7, Amplifi ed Bible, Classic Edition). Jesus said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). God breathed spirit and life into Adam with His words! One day, years ago, while I was studying this, The LORD showed me how it happened. In a vision, I saw Him holding up Adam's grayish, lifeless body. He had it by the shoulders, and as it hung there in front of Him, I could see it was the same size as God Himself. God isn't 100 feet tall. Jesus said, "Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father," and Jesus stands around six feet tall. We can picture what Adam looked like by picturing Jesus. Adam was His exact replica. They looked like twins because they were. Both looked just exactly like their Father. So, when God held up Adam's body, they were eye to eye, nose to nose, and mouth to mouth. Imagine standing right in front of someone your own size and talking to them. Particularly if you were very close, where would your words and breath hit them? In the face. Not on the forehead or on the throat, but right in the nostrils. In my vision, that's what I saw happen when God breathed life into Adam.
