Lord by reading the John G. Lake sermons. I wasn't preaching back then. Ken was the only preacher in our family and I thought that was just fi ne. I had absolutely no aspirations to minister at the pulpit. Even though that has proven to be a major part of God's Master Plan for me, I had no inkling of it at the time. What would have happened had I not obeyed those promptings of the Holy Spirit? What if I had never obeyed God to make those commitments to stir up my hunger for the Word and spend time every day in prayer? Most likely, I would never have done what I'm doing now. God might not have assigned me to preach because I would have been unprepared. I would have missed a major portion of the Master's Plan for my life. Determine right now that you'll never let that happen to you. Make up your mind you'll always expect such promptings from the Holy Spirit, and that you'll never ignore them when they come. Even if it seems costly at the time, always do what God puts in your heart to do. Your whole future may depend on it. Remember, God is always endeavoring to make His plan a reality in your life. God's Word will deliver you from trouble. It will solve seemingly impossible problems…and it will always connect you to the Master Plan. In the Long Run, It Doesn't Cost, It Pays Actually, when God directs you to do something that looks like it's going to cost you dearly, it always pays o richly in the end. Ken and I know that well. When we fi rst began seeking God and obeying His Word, God directed us to do something that was practically unthinkable to us back then. He told us to get out of debt…and stay out. I'll never forget the fi rst time He spoke to us about it. We were living in a shabby rent house in Tulsa, Okla., and just barely getting by. But we were both spending lots of time in the Word because we knew we could not make it without God's supernatural help. Ken and I believed that God would make a way if 1 When God created the earth in the beginning, He intended for His people's lives to be fi lled with His goodness. (Gen. 1:31) 2 Things changed on earth when Adam sinned, but God's will for His people remained the same. (Mal.3:6) 3 God told His people, even under the Old Covenant, that by putting Him and His Word fi rst they could enjoy heavenly lives. (Deut. 11:21) 4 Jesus told us in the New Testament if we give ourselves 100% to God, we can enjoy heaven's blessings on earth too. (Matt. 6:33) 5 Give yourself wholly to God, go after Him with all your heart, and He will move in your life in ways that will amaze you. (2 Chr. 16:9) Living a Heavenly Life Jesus is your Life Force! Your living contact with Him determines your spiritual results. B V O V : 2 9 W WORDS OF FAITH
