Elections
2024
The United States has entered
another election year. This is the
time when believers in Christ must
unify in prayer. What we do, or don't
do, during this election will have
a direct e ect on the a airs of this
world.
Our involvement, or lack of it, will
be the key factor in whether revival fi res
will burn hot or smolder across this land. I am
very serious about this issue. I hope that the
words I write will have a profound e ect on you
today."Let every soul be subject unto the higher
powers. For there is no power but of God: the
powers that be are ordained of God" (Romans
13:1).
It is amazing how little attention is paid
to this very important scripture. You can
tell by the way most people talk about the
government, that they don't realize our leaders
are ordained of God. Romans 13:4 says that
God has ordained them because of us; they are
ministers for our good. The reason our oŽ cials
don't manifest that ordination any more than
they do, is because of our lack of prayer on their
behalf.
People say, "I can't pray for the president!
Just look at what he has done!" It doesn't matter
how things look, you can pray. God is a just God
and He will never instruct you to do
something that you are not capable
of doing. You can do it by the power
of the Holy Spirit, in obedience to
The WORD of God.
When God instructs you to do
something, it is always in order to
gain an avenue into your life. He will
never tell you to do something just because
He wants to. He is always looking for a way
into our lives.
Praying More Than Ever!
First Timothy 2:1-2 tells us we should
pray and give thanks for all of our leaders,
so that we might live in peace. "I exhort
therefore, that, fi rst of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks,
be made for all men; for kings, and for all that
are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."
There is now a considerable amount of
intercession going on. People are in prayer
now more than ever. We are having to make
up for years of apathy from Christians who
have refused to take their prayer responsibility
seriously. We are having to catch up on our
"quiet and peaceable life."
