our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement
[needful to obtain] peace and well-being for
us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that
wounded] Him we are healed and made
whole (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
First Peter 2:24 quotes that last phrase in
the past tense. It says to us as New Covenant
believers, by Jesus stripes "ye were healed."
If you were healed, then healing is yours
right now. It has already been provided. It's
your responsibility to appropriate it by faith
whenever you need it so that you can live out
the full lifespan of 120 years God promised
in Genesis 6:3, and then take off for heaven—
not because you're sick but because you've
finished your race and you're ready to go!
"I'd like to believe that," somebody might
say, "but it sounds too good to be true. I
mean, if it's really possible to live a life free
of sickness, why haven't more Christians
done it?"
Most believers have no idea they can!
