Some days Rick felt like pinching himself.
How had a Hispanic kid who had trouble
learning to read and write ever end up here?
The truth was one word: faith.
Rick's grandparents had been immigrants
from Mexico. His father had started a
construction company pouring cement.
His parents raised their fi ve sons in church,
teaching them to give their lives to Jesus,
to love and fear God, and to always return
