God has a divine plan and purpose for every person ever conceived on this earth. Some discover that plan. Others don’t.
By his own admission, left to himself, Kenneth Copeland would never have gone God’s way. He never would have lived out God’s plan for his life. But thanks to a praying mother who loved God, and was doggedly determined from the day her son was born that he would serve God, Kenneth wasn’t left to himself.
“All the time I was growing up, she and my daddy saw to it that I went to church,” Kenneth would recall later in life. “I wasn’t grateful. In fact, I fought it the whole time…I didn’t like being cooped up in that musty, old church house.… Other kids would be playing ball and having fun, but I was stuck inside learning memory verses that I didn’t understand.”
