Editor’s Letter Get Over It! Over the years, I’ve been blessed by many of Gloria Copeland’s teachings. One in particular was a message she preached years ago on how faith believes it receives when it prays. It was the first time I believe I heard Gloria “get tough” in her delivery. “Don’t let the devil steal from you!” she insisted. “Don’t let him talk you into dying young and telling you that nobody loves you. You say, ‘Well, I just feel so sorry for myself.’ Well, get over it! Go love someone if you want to be loved. Give and it’ll be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over.” Get over it! A powerful admonishment—boldly spoken with authority—by a powerful woman of God! Her ability to proclaim God’s Word in boldness is just one reason Gloria Copeland holds a place among a select group of distinguished women who, over the years, have been named Christian Woman of the Year—an honor you can read more about on Page 12 in this issue. If you’re a Christian, then you already know the devil is out to get you—to stop you from receiving every blessing God has planned and purposed for you. Just try living right for God and you’re a prime target for the devil’s attacks. So why waste time feeling sorry for yourself when he comes after you—when he tries to block your path to success, makes you feel like a failure, or turns people against you so you feel unloved? Jesus doesn’t see you as a failure. And His love for you is everlasting. He sees you as a member of a Holy Ghost gang of successful, blessed and prosperous believers. He calls you more than a conqueror. In Him, we all are victorious in everything we set our hands to do that’s according to God’s will for us. So stop the pity party! Quit crying and whining and do what Gloria suggests: Just get over it, and go love someone! That love will come right back to you.
