"Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel…. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour" (verses 8-10, 13).
WORD Faith
Notice Jesus said the centurion had “great faith.” What kind of faith is that? It’s WORD faith. Faith that requires no physical evidence other than the authority of The WORD of God itself.
WORD faith isn’t the only way to get healed, but it’s the best way. It’s better than having to depend on special manifestations of the Spirit, such as working of miracles or gifts of healings, because as wonderful as they are, there’s an air of mystery about them. They’re not always in operation. The gifts come and go as the Holy Spirit wills.
The WORD of God, on the other hand, is always available. It’s always “alive and full of power […active, operative, energizing, and effective]” (Hebrews 4:12, "AMPC"), and it’s there for you to access whenever you need it, any time of the day or night, which is a major advantage.
Particularly if you’re dealing with a condition that’s acute, you can’t afford to sit around and wait for the gift of miracles to show up. You need to connect with the power of God immediately, and by getting in The WORD you can do that. Simply by opening your Bible or tuning in to The WORD being preached, you can build your faith and receive your miracle when there are no spiritual gifts in sight.
LaShae McKinney can confirm it. One of our ministry Partners, she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer a few years ago. Given only 30 days to live she needed a miracle and she needed it fast.
