Get With the Program—and Prosper!
by Kenneth Copeland
When you were born again you received The LORD Jesus Christ as your Savior. You may also have received Him as your Baptizer in the Holy Spirit and as your Healer. But today, I want to stir you up about receiving Him as your Financier.
Right now, the Body of Christ is in a time of increase where more and more of us are coming to know Him that way. We’re learning to strip ourselves completely of our dependency on the world and look to Him alone for our finances. To a greater degree than ever before, we’re realizing that although He uses natural channels of supply, He is the Source.
Jesus is our Source for everything!
As our High Priest, He’s the One who administers THE BLESSING of God to us—spirit, soul, body, socially AND financially. He’s the One who supplies us with supernatural abundance and makes “all grace abound” toward us so that, as 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, we “always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”
Verses 9 and 10 tell us, “As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”
That, right there, is the profile of the prosperous believer! It’s the picture of a person who depends financially on no one but The LORD. It’s also the picture of God’s will for every one of His born-again children.
He never intended for us to spend our lives worrying about money and trying to figure out ways to supply our own needs. He meant for the entire Church to get with His prosperity program so that He could continually supply us all with seed to sow, food to eat, an abundance with which to BLESS other people, and all things richly to enjoy. (See 1 Timothy 6:17.)
Imagine what could happen on this earth if the whole Body of Christ got with that program. It would be wonderful not just for us but for the whole world!
“Yes, but Brother Copeland, if that’s really God’s will for every one of us, why aren’t more believers walking in it?”
