“When you laugh, whether or not you feel like it, your body reacts the same way,” Jackson explained. “Your endorphins and other reactions will decrease chemicals in your body that help to create cancer, autoimmune disorders and stomach problems when you laugh. You decide from your reasoning frontal lobe to laugh, and it affects your master gland, the hypothalamus. From there it will cascade down to all 50 trillion cells in your body. It’s just phenomenal; God created it that way. “I did not understand that God wanted me to put what I was learning in a book. However, He did, and I wrote, "The God Prescription: Our Heavenly Father’s Plan for Spiritual, Mental and Physical Health.” Avery and Andrea were both Partners with KCM before they married in 2006. Today, more than 20 years later, they still enjoy that partnership. “Psalm 126:1 says, ‘When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion (Jerusalem), we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal]’” ("Amplified Bible"), Jackson says. “That’s what partnership with KCM means to us. It’s surreal—as though we were dreaming.” After Kenneth Copeland heard Jackson speak at a conference hosted by Bishop Butler, he prophesied to Jackson, telling him, “You are an apostle to physicians.” “When he said that, I realized that I hadn’t thought of it that way but I was already educating physicians around the world by teleconferencing grand rounds. Since then, Brother Copeland asked me to appear on 10 installments of his television broadcast, the "Believer’s Voice of Victory." I think of all the times my sister and I, as children, took a bus to go hear him speak, and I feel as though I am dreaming.” To date, Jackson has treated more than 100,000 patients and performed over 10,000 surgeries. If there is any confusion, he wants to clarify: “Doctors can’t heal,” he says. “A neurosurgeon can remove a bullet and sew up a laceration, but we cannot heal. Christ is our Healer. He won our healing through His stripes on Calvary. Only Jesus heals.” V ------------------------------------------ 1. An important part of medical education, a grand round is a formal meeting in which physicians talk about clinical cases of patients. -------------------------------------------- ******************************************* Join Avery and Andrea in teaching believers how to use their faith. kcm.org/partnernow ******************************************** ******************************************** ********** ADVERTISEMENT *********** Dr. Avery Jackson reveals life-changing concepts of healing based in science and the Scriptures! Here’s one of our Partner churches: Faith Is the Victory Church | Nashville/Mount Juliet, Tennessee ------------------------ In October 1973, Charles Cowan was attending a Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship convention in Nashville, Tenn., where Kenneth Copeland was speaking. Though he’d never heard of the speaker, what he heard preached that day literally changed Cowan’s life forever. “He was talking about God when I heard him say, ‘He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,’” Cowan recalls. “That went off in me like dynamite! I thought, I’ve read all those scriptures before, but I have never seen that! I came up in the Pentecostal ranks, so I thought you had to beg God. When that revelation came out of Brother Copeland, it lit a fire in me.” Over the next few years, Cowan and his wife, Sue, began attending meetings held by Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Later, as students at Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Okla., in the mid-1970s, they also got to sit under Brother Copeland’s teachings. “Every opportunity I had, I ate up everything I could get from Brother Copeland,” says Cowan, who has partnered with KCM since the mid-1980s. “He planted in me the seed of the Word, and it is through that Word that we have built our ministry.” Today, the Cowans pastor Faith Is the Victory Church in Nashville. Established in 1977, the church’s mission is to help people become who God has called them to be—spiritually, physically, mentally, financially and socially. “We exist to call men and women to celebrate and be changed by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and His lordship over all of life—for the good of our city and the world,” the church mission states. “Finding God’s perfect plan means that you’re reaching others for Christ, promoting true growth among fellow believers, and finding God’s love and power as you faithfully walk with Him.” “It’s what I’ve learned from Brother Copeland and Dad [Kenneth E.] Hagin that has blessed my life,” Cowan says Faith Is the Victory has two locations: at 3344 Walton Lane in Nashville, Tenn., and in the Rainbow Place Shopping Center in Mount Juliet, Tenn., about 45 minutes east of their headquarters facility.
