“When you laugh, whether or not you feel like it, your body reacts the same way,” Jackson explained. “Your endorphins and other reactions will decrease chemicals in your body that help to create cancer, autoimmune disorders and stomach problems when you laugh. You decide from your reasoning frontal lobe to laugh, and it affects your master gland, the hypothalamus. From there it will cascade down to all 50 trillion cells in your body. It’s just phenomenal; God created it that way. “I did not understand that God wanted me to put what I was learning in a book. Though he’d never heard of the speaker, what he heard preached that day literally changed Cowan’s life forever. “He was talking about God when I heard him say, ‘He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,’” Cowan recalls. “That went off in me like dynamite! Later, as students at Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Okla., in the mid-1970s, they also got to sit under Brother Copeland’s teachings. “Every opportunity I had, I ate up everything I could get from Brother Copeland,” says Cowan, who has partnered with KCM since the mid-1980s. “He planted in me the seed of the Word, and it is through that Word that we have built our ministry.” Today, the Cowans pastor Faith Is the Victory Church in Nashville.
