If the answer is yes, then you’re Abraham’s seed too. You’re a joint heir with Christ, and whatever is His belongs to you. You’re not poor anymore! You don’t come from an underprivileged family. Your Father is Almighty God and your elder Brother is The LORD Jesus Christ, “of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named” (Ephesians 3:15). You’ve been born into the wealthiest family there is! You may not have tapped into much of that wealth yet, but it’s yours just as surely as forgiveness of sins is yours, because Jesus paid the price for both at the same time. “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). When did Jesus become poor? Was He poor during His earthly ministry? No. He had so much money, He appointed Judas to be the ministry treasurer. Poor people don’t need a treasurer! So, Jesus obviously wasn’t poor during His earthly life. He only became poor when He went to the Cross and took upon Himself the curse that came on mankind through sin. The curse is threefold; it includes spiritual death, sickness and poverty. THE BLESSING of Redemption is threefold; it includes spiritual life in Christ, healing and prosperity. Jesus, by going to the cross, “redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on” us through Him, “that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Galatians 3:13-14). Jesus never committed any sin, but on the cross He became sin for us so “that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). He’d never been sick, but on the cross He bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases so that by His stripes we’re healed. He’d never been poor, but on the Cross He became as poor as we are so that we could be as rich as He is! * * * * * article continues on p. 8 * * * * * ********** ADVERTISEMENT ********** 2020 Events VICTORY LIVE TOUR Miracles on the Mountain Feb. 27-28 | Newark, Texas Branson Victory Campaign April 2-4 / Branson, Mo.
