Since its beginnings, this nation has often been defended by men and women whose dependence has been on God. When overwhelming odds were staring them in the face, they knew God would see them through. With His help, America has remained one nation under God.
America has been blessed with many Christian military leaders. Their success can be traced directly to a strong relationship and reliance on God and an active prayer life, which they also encouraged in their troops.
The book "America’s Providential History" details accounts of some of our early leaders such as General Robert E. Lee, who was quoted as saying, “My reliance is in the help of God.”
