When Jairus came to Him on the seashore and asked Him to come to his house and lay His hand on his dying daughter, Jesus went. And even though the little girl died before they got there, He touched her and raised her up (Mark 5:22-42). When the woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd that was surrounding Him and said, “If I just touch His garment, I’ll be healed,” the anointing was flowing from Him so profusely that the instant she touched Him she was immediately made whole (Mark 5:28-34). When He was coming down from the mountain with great crowds following Him and the leper fell down before Him and said, “If You are willing, You can make me clean,” Jesus touched him and said, “I am willing!” and the man was made clean (Matthew 8:1-3, "New King James Version"). Acts 10:38 says, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil….” Why did He heal ALL? Because, as the end of the verse says, “God was with Him.” And God is, and always has been, profusely GOOD! Time Is Running Out “But Gloria,” you might say, “Jesus did all those things 2,000 years ago. They happened when He was physically here on earth.” Yes, that’s right. But what difference does that make? According to Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” He didn’t change after He finished His earthly ministry and ascended back into heaven. He didn’t scale back His profuse goodness. Quite the opposite! On the day of Pentecost, in Acts 2, He poured out God’s BLESSING more lavishly than ever. He sent an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was so abundant it spilled out of the upper room in Jerusalem and got on all the people in the street. Since then, He’s expanded His ministry exponentially by sending all of us, as believers, into the world to be His witnesses. He’s equipped us with the same Holy-Ghost Anointing He relied on in His ministry. He’s commissioned and empowered us to go about just like He did, doing good and manifesting the kingdom of God. As He said in Matthew 28:18-20: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Now it’s our turn to be the ones through whom the kingdom of heaven lavishly breaks through into people’s lives! Now we’re anointed to heal the sick, bring deliverance to the captives, and proclaim the day when the salvation and free favors of God profusely abound. Here’s the good news: We’re still living in that day! Despite all the darkness we see in the world around us, God’s kingdom is in us and among us (Luke 17:21, "AMPC"), and the door to it is standing wide open. God is still saying through us to all men that “whosoever will” may believe on Jesus, come in and be BLESSED. This day won’t last forever, though. As Jesus said, this age will come to an end, and that end is nearer now than ever. Jesus is coming soon to catch away His Church and when He does, after more than 2,000 years of God’s free favors abounding profusely, this day will end. Before that happens, we want to make sure everyone in the world has heard the gospel. We want to bring in the full harvest of the fruit of the earth. When we take off out of here for heaven, we want to take with us everyone who wants to go. But we don’t have much time left to get our job done! We’re in the last of the last days. The end of this world is rapidly approaching, and we still have multitudes of people to reach. How are we going to reach them all? I’ll tell you this: We certainly won’t be able to do it just in our own strength. The task is too great. Even with all the wonderful technology that’s available today, even with radio, television, satellites and airplanes that can fly us all around the world to preach to people, if we had to win this world just in the natural, we’d never be able to do it. 28 : BVOV
